About Zig Zag

Zig Zag is a highly-stable 58 foot catamaran with easy access. She has two full bathrooms and two double-berth cabins. Zig Zag is available for exclusive overnight stays.

She is licensed for up to 30 passengers and three crew; is powered by two 110 h.p Nissan engines and has a single mast self-furling rig for sailing and relaxing.

We offer trips for individual passengers which leave Mangonui Wharf at 8 am each day (weather permitting). The trips offered are for half day (4 hours) and full day with a shore stop-over along the way.

Tea and coffee are provided.

Be sure to bring food or snacks, towel, warm clothing, swimsuits, sun block and camera. We have a good range of wetsuits, goggles and snorkels on board but bring your own if you prefer.

You can make full use of the barbeque on the back deck or we can provide food on request.

We also offer full boat day and overnight charters. These are particularly suited for Corporate Events.

Typically, these may be a 2 day, overnight charter from Bay of Islands to Mangonui (or vice versa) with shore stay options at Whangaroa harbour. Or a 2 day overnight charter from Mangonui around Cape Karikari to Reef Lodge at Rangiputa on the Rangaunu Harbour.

Individual passengers:

Half-day trips (4 hours): NZ$115.00 (adult)
Half-day trips (4 hours): NZ$ 55.00 (child)
Full-day trips (adult): NZ$170.00 (adult)
Full-day trips (child): NZ$ 85.00 (child)

Full-boat Charters:

8 am - 3 pm: NZ$1,500.00
8 am - 8 pm: NZ$2,000.00
10 am - 10.00 am (overnight) : NZ$2,500.00

All prices are inclusive of New Zealand GST (Goods & Services Tax).

We are happy to receive payment by online banking or bank transfer and will advise our bank account details when we respond to your booking.
